This spring, Tousled Dolly and i ventured out across the water to Saltspring Island, where we met the most amazing designer-her bags are all made from repurposed ladies’ jackets, and i would buy every single one if i could!

from there, we headed out to the Fraser Valley, Fort Langley to be precise, where we had the BEST time at The Bloom Market! we’ll be back there again on June 19th! i can’t WAIT!

my highlights were Billie Schauer’s AMAZING pottery-thank you Billie, i LOVE the coffee mugs;

Somazing!

Posted in markets, music, news, Uncategorized on February 13th, 2011 by radjuli

Hello everyone, and here’s wishing you a happy middle of  February! it’s half over!

In the last month, i’ve learned and performed an entire album by They Might Be Giants, participated in several Victoria Flea Markets, and just this past weekend, helped out my most favourite group of burlesque performers, the Cheesecake Burlesque Revue!

Looking forward, this week i’ll be doing brolesque (it’s a bit gender-bendy) at Logan’s Tavern of the Damned for a fabulous event called Girls Girls Girls, an annual event organized by the inimitable J. McLaughlin and Sarah Rhude. Two days later, on saturday February 19th, i’ll be debuting a femme burleque solo(!) as well as playing Maya Papaya‘s cheating husband in Burlesque-o-rama, at the Victoria Event Centre!

Tired yet?! pfffft-try to keep up! *laugh* just kidding- ok, and the last-(oh, wait, second to last) event in February, i’ll be selling some fantastic vintage clothing, accessories and Radjuli Custom Designs at the Vintageous Fair at the Fernwood Community Centre on february 26. Later that night will be  the first performance in 2011 of Ballista, the heaviest stoner rock to come out of Victoria since…well…i’m not sure, i’ve only lived here 4 years and i can’t remember ever seeing a really heavy band here. But could be just because i don’t really get out much *laugh*

At the show, we’ll be debuting our new bassmaster-tyler piercy- as we open up a killer lineup of Rorschach, Mendozza and my favourite shredders from Vancouver, Ancients!

well, that’s all for now, hope to see you out and about-i’ll be a busy, busy Radjuli for the next 3 months!

love love love,

and thank you for all that you do!

Posted in news, stores, Uncategorized on January 5th, 2011 by radjuli

well, ok, i wouldn’t bother to waste your valuable time with news that wasn’t new and exciting!

so, we had a fabulous time at One Of A Kind,

thank you all so much to everyone who came out, and a big ‘hello!” to all of the new friends i made!  it was so much fun!

if you’re new to the blog,

welcome, and if you’re familiar with my writing, thanks for sticking around!

we also experimented with new markets by vending at two Make It! shows in Alberta this past november;

both were excellent shows, and great learning experiences for me,

and i’m happy to report we collected a new store from the Calgary show: Bali Bling in Black Diamond, which is located south of Calgary! pop by, say hi to Jake, and check out my leather cuffs, as well as all sorts of unique gift items!

Speaking of new stores, we collected a new hotspot in Vancouver: Two of Hearts Boutique on Main Street! thanks to Tabitha and Jenny for being such great neighbours at One of A Kind! Shopping at Two Of Hearts, you can find unique gifts, such as pendants made of vintage maps, outfit yourself in beautiful made-in-Vancouver clothing, and try on my leather cuffs!

since i got back to the studio, i’ve been hard at work making new bags-thank to lots of feedback from all three shows!

here are a couple for you:

thanks again to everyone, and talk to you soon!

Posted in news, Uncategorized on November 13th, 2010 by radjuli

Hi everyone, it’s me again!

Just wanted to report to all my fans that I had a lovely time at the Make It show in Calgary! It was located in the beautiful Chinese cultural centre right downtown! Everyone was so great.

There were so many talented people there selling their goodies! I have to admit, I cheated a little and did some lovely trades.

I want to thank all the artists at the show for your support and awesomeness! I especially want to thank:

Micheal Gunn of Hippie Hunter Designs

Robin of Status Manus

the wonderful goldsmith and designer Jocelyn Henderson

And last but not least, the grand textile designer Giulia Fatica

Guess what?!? I’m also going to be at the Make It Show in Edmonton on November 25th to the 28th! Check out the Show here!

While I have your attention, here are some of the accessories I’ll be carrying. The time of the year here to celebrate the holidays with our loved ones and what’s a better gift then something handmade… maybe something like this…
